Dating where you belong.

Able to astonish.

You've probably wondered if it's you. It isn't. Mainstream apps were never built for disabled people, so we built the one that is. Able2Love is for disabled and non-disabled people open to dating one another, where your access needs are just part of your profile, not a plot twist. No third-date reveal. No over-explaining. No pity.

people in the UK are disabled. Nearly one in four of us. Not a niche the apps can keep treating as an afterthought.

Why we built it

The reasons, in real voices.

Not app reviews — real experiences disabled people shared about dating. This is what we're here to change.

"They'd stay for weeks, act completely into it, then disappear the moment they got what they were really after."

A disabled dater

"It was never my disability, and it was never me. It's how people decide who I am the second they see the chair."

A disabled dater

"I just want to be treated like a person — not someone's fetish, and not someone's good deed."

Why Able2Love

Mainstream apps treat disability as an edge case. We made it the starting point.

Disclosure on your terms

Your access needs go on your profile as tap-to-reveal cards, if you want them to. You decide what and when, among people who already get it.

Accessible by design

Accessibility is the foundation here, not a settings toggle you go hunting for.

Built with, not for

Made alongside disabled users. Disabled and non-disabled people, fancying each other, without the stigma.

Plan a date you can get into

A map of people nearby and step-free venues, so nobody has to ring ahead to ask about the step.

New · MeetCute

Ways to meet that aren't just swiping.

Because who you are should arrive before your photo does.

The Able2Love Tonight screen: Doors open at 8pm, one open room every night.

Tonight

Every night, 8 till 10, one open room where everyone's welcome and it's just people talking. No swiping, no pressure. Come as you are.

The Able2Love Here Now screen: meet the people around you, visible only when you choose.

Here Now

Same train, same café, same gig. Go visible and see who's genuinely around you, only when you choose to be found. Green light means come say hi.

The Able2Love Talk To Me screen: someone being introduced out loud, browse and match by voice.

Talk To Me

Put your phone down. The app introduces people out loud, and you browse, like and match entirely by voice — the first dating experience you can use without looking at the screen.

The Able2Love Blind Date screen: meet a voice, not a photo — photos locked, no names.

Blind Date

A voice call with someone compatible, photos locked and no names. Talk for a few minutes, and if you both say keep talking, it becomes a match.

☝️ Exactly what greets you when you open Blind Date: “Meet a voice, not a photo.”

The Able2Love Familiar Faces screen: people whose paths keep crossing yours.

Familiar Faces

The app quietly notices when someone's path keeps crossing yours — same place, same sort of time, different days. When fate needs a hand, they show up here.

Brogan Fox, founder of Able2Love, in a powerchair.

For over a decade I was on the dating apps, on and off, giving it everything I had. One thing never changed: the moment my disability came into it, I was at a disadvantage, every single time. It took me far too long to realise I couldn't be the only one feeling this way. So I built Able2Love, the place I always wished I'd had. Somewhere you're wanted, exactly as you are.

So what's the catch?

People keep asking me what the catch is. Fair enough. There isn't one, but I know that answer sounds like every scam ever, so let me actually explain.

Why is it free?

Because I pay for it, out of my own pocket, before the app has ever made a penny. One day there might be optional extras for people who want them, and that would keep the lights on. But the app you have now is free, because charging lonely people to stop being lonely never sat right with me, and because the community this is for has been overcharged by life already.

Are you selling my data?

No. Your data is not the product, because there is no product being sold to anyone. Your profile lives in a locked database where only you and the people you choose to show can see what you share. Everything travels encrypted. I do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers. If that ever changed I would have to tell you first.

Is anything reading my messages?

No. The kindness filter people ask about is a simple list of hurtful words that lives on your phone. When it spots one, it asks if you are sure before you send. Your messages stay between you and the person you sent them to.

What about the voice features?

The voice you hear reading profiles out loud is your own phone's built in voice, the same one that reads your text messages. Nobody is listening and nothing is recorded.

So what do you get out of it, Brogan?

I get to watch people like me be wanted for who they are. That is the whole business model. I read every piece of feedback myself, I fix what people tell me is broken, and the people who were here at the start have a founding member badge on their profile, because they built this with me.

Questions

The honest FAQ.

Is it free?

Yes. Free to download on Google Play.

Is it only for disabled people?

No. It's for disabled and non-disabled people who are open to dating one another. Everyone's welcome, no medals for turning up.

Do I have to share my disability?

Only if you want to. Disclosure is optional and opt-in. You choose what goes on your profile, and you can change or remove it any time.

What phones does it work on?

It's on Android via Google Play right now.

Is my location private?

Yes. On the Nearby map, locations are deliberately fuzzed to roughly 100m, so nobody sees an exact address, and only people active right now appear.

How do I stay safe and report someone?

You can report and block other users in the app. As with any dating app, meet in public first and tell someone where you're going. See our safety tips.
