Before you meet
- Chat in the app first. Take your time; there's no rush to move to other platforms.
- Be a bit wary of anyone who pushes to move off the app quickly, asks for money, or love-bombs you.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, it's fine to unmatch. You never owe anyone a conversation.
Meeting in person
- Meet somewhere public the first few times. Use Plan our date to pick a step-free spot you're comfortable in.
- Tell a friend where you're going and who with, and arrange your own way there and back.
- Share your access needs only as far as you're comfortable. A good date respects them without making it a thing.
Your information
- Keep personal details (home address, workplace, finances) to yourself until you trust someone.
- On the Nearby map your location is deliberately fuzzed to roughly 100m, so an exact address is never shown.
Reporting and blocking
If someone makes you uncomfortable, breaks the rules, harasses or fetishises you, you can report and block them in the app. Reports are taken seriously. You can reach a human at abletoloveapp@gmail.com.
If you're struggling. If you ever feel unsafe or in crisis, please reach out to real support. In the UK you can call the Samaritans free any time on 116 123, or 999 in an emergency. You are not on your own.
Able2Love does not run background checks on members, so these habits matter. Look out for yourself and each other.
